Directions

We stir the semolina with the flour, the baking powder and the almonds. We beat the butter in the mixer and we add the sugar
with the eggs and the salt. We pour the mixture with the solids and the milk. We put the mixture in a buttered pan (33×23 or No 26-28) We bake the halva in a medium oven for 45 minutes. We mix all the ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan until the sugar melts. Before it is cooled, we pour over the hot syrup.

  • 100 gr Soft Flour MILLS OF CRETE
  • 150 gr chopped almonds
  • 225 gr sugar
  • 190 gr butter
  • 250 gr Cow Milk VERO CRETAN
  • 3 whipped eggs
  • 10 gr baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • FOR THE SYRUP

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 6 pieces carnation
  • one lemon peel
