Directions

First, we dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. We add all the ingredients and we mix until a soft, elastic dough, that does not tick, is formed. We cover it and we let it double in volume. Then we knead it again for a few minutes and we open it on a floured surface on a dough of about 8 mm thick and we cut with a glass circles of 6 cm. We use a bottle of water to make a hole in the center. We put the donuts in a floured towel and we cover until they are doubled in volume. We fry them in hot oil until they become lightly rosy on both sides. We put them on absorbent paper to remove most of the oil. While they are still warm, we dump them into cinnamon sugar or chocolate glaze.
