Directions

We mix all the ingredients for the phyllo until it becomes a soft dough, we divide it into three and we roll it with the rolling pin. We mix the filling materials well and we split them into two. In an oiled baking sheet, we place one phyllo and we add half the filling. We place the second phyllo and we add the rest of the filling and we cover with the third phyllo. We spread some water in the phyllo, we sprinkle with sesame and we score in diamond shape. We bake in a moderate oven for half an hour. We prepare the syrup and when the dessert has a little bit cooled down, we spread with the syrup.

  • 500 gr Cretan Pie Flour MILLS OF CRETE
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons Εxtra Virgin Olive Oil Tsounato ABEA
  • 5 gr salt
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 100 gr toasted sesame
  • FOR THE FILLING

  • 300 gr crushed walnuts
  • 300 gr crushed hazelnuts
  • 300 gr almonds (toasted and crushed)
  • 100 gr sesame (crushed and toasted)
  • 100 gr poppy seed
  • 2 gr pepper
  • 0.5 glass honey
  • FOR THE SYRUP

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.5 cup petimezi
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
